Aspyr has announced a Beta Test of The Sims 2 for Mac! I'm very excited about this; already have my application in and everything. For more details, please see the announcement about it at The Sims Resource: TS2 Mac Beta Announcement

Update: 2005-01-16

Announcing the beginning of the public beta test of the new and improved Keep It SIMple! Keep It SIMple has a new home at http://keepitsimple.bitropolis.com and it's looking great. Or at least I hope you'll think so. The new site is now officially open for public use.

I'm calling this a "beta test" for two reasons. One, because there are a number of new features and redesigned pages, so I need the help of all the Keep It SIMple users to let me know if you find weird errors, broken links, or things that just plain don't make sense to you. Please use the Support Form found under the About KIS section to give me feedback during this beta test.

The other reason this is a "beta test" is because I have not yet moved all the downloads from the old address over to the new format. Until I do that, the old address will remain open for anyone who hasn't downloaded those items. However, **all new downloads will be on the new site**.

One change you will notice is that Keep It SIMple now has an account registration system. Don't panic, registration is 100% free and gives you access to everything on the site. The account system is just some advance planning on my part so that as Keep It SIMple grows I can add spiffy new features with settings that are customized for you (like new views, saved searches, favorites, for example). If you do not want to register, the newest downloads on Keep It SIMple will always be available for download without registering; you just have to keep an eye out so you don't miss an update :)

I hope everyone enjoys the new Keep It SIMple!

Update: 2004-10-19

It's official! TS2 is coming to Mac! And from our good friends at Aspyr too. I just hope they release BodyShop for Mac too.

Here's the official release: http://ea.gamespress.com/release.asp?i=503

Update: 2004-02-09

Real life is so often in conflict with what we would like to be doing with our time. For example, I would really like to have more time to make things for The Sims :) But between working full-time and going to school part time, it doesn't always happen.

Today I do have a very small update for you. A friend requested a round table-clothed endtable and so I took it up as a challenge. I'm actually very pleased with it. It is my first 100% from scratch made-by-hand object (and no, I didn't use a 3D model). Anyway, it is available in Objects under Surfaces. I hope you enjoy it :)

Update: 2003-12-06

Hello all. Today is the final release of the rest of the Maxis-Match SteriLife set. The remaining objects as well as the full set download are now available. The full set is under Object Sets (look for room Other). The individual objects are in Objects under Kitchen or Living Room (and under various functions). Happy downloading.

As an aside, I am considering offering CDs of the downloads on this site. First though I would like to get an idea of whether anyone would buy them, and if so, what you guys think is a reasonable price to charge. If you have an opinion on this that you'd like to share, please drop me a line in the Mailroom. Thanks.
